This project has been awarded for the exemplary restoration of this unique archaeological site, situated in unaltered natural landscape on the Cycladic island of Amorgos. The … anastelosis of the tower and the adjacent rural structures were restored with traditional materials and techniques by local masons and craftsmen. The enhancement and display of the whole site contributes to the recovery of an image of diachronic rural life in Mediterranean Europe from antiquity to the present day.
