A Medal in Category 2 - Research has been given to Do Palácio de Belèm by the Museum of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, Portugal. The publication and exhibition Do Palácio de Belèm were the result of a meticulous research into the Belèm Palace and its interior and collection. A full inventory was organised, in which renowned experts from various fields took part. Apart from the inventory, the research included comparative research into other national palaces and the recuperation of parts of the collection that had been dispersed into other public and private collections.
The project is admired for making accessible to citizens the Palácio de Belèm, a building that reflects an important part of Portugal 's national identity and of its contemporary history. The rigorous inventory and the publications presenting the results are of outstanding quality and should be considered an example for similar research projects in Portugal and in Europe.

Une Médaille dans la Catégorie 2 - Recherche a été donnée au Do Palácio de Belèm du Musée de la Présidence de la République portugaise, Portugal. La publication et l’exposition Do Palácio de Belèm ont été le résultat de recherches méticuleuses sur le Palais de Belém, son intérieur et sa collection. Un inventaire complet a eu lieu auquel ont participé des experts renommés dans diverses disciplines. En dehors de l’inventaire, les recherches ont porté sur l’enquête comparative dans d'autres palais nationaux et la récupération d'éléments de la collection qui avaient été dispersés dans d'autres collections publiques et privées.
Le projet est admiré pour avoir rendu accessible aux citoyens le Palácio de Belèm, un bâtiment qui reflète une partie importante de l’identité nationale du Portugal et de son histoire contemporaine.
