THE EAST EIFEL VOLCANO PARK, PLAIDT
This venture has remarkably revitalised an important industrial activity for the regional economy, on a large scale site, whilst successfully supporting the interest of local tourist development and the archaeological inheritance of the history of the Roman Empire. Thanks to a strategic partnership, the project manages to reconcile the economic interests of a construction trade with those of the geologists, archaeologists and muséographes in charge of the development of this two thousand year old cultural landscape. It exemplifies excellence in coordinating projects of the development of large scale archeological sites which are subjected to contemporary economic constraints and calls for more collaboration with other volcanic regions in Europe.
