We invited on our stand Europa Nostra's member Association, Pro Patrimonio France, a French association for the protection of the Rumanian cultural heritage, for a daily presentation of one of their actions. So, every day, students of the School of Chaillot presented their work of collaboration with the School of architecture of Timisoara and The Rumanian association "Artis Peritia " supported by the Foundation Pro Patrimonio. It is about a project of research for a duration of one year on " Cula ", fortified constructions / tower typical of the Balkans, the largest part ( 14 ) of which are in Rumania. This work is realized within the framework of the studies of these two schools, this is counting in the programme of the pupils.

From 4-7 November, Europa Nostra was present at the International Heritage Show , the “Salon international du patrimoine culturel”, that took place at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris. The Theme for 2010 was “The Mediterranean Heritage”. In 15 years, the show has hosted 281,389 visitors, 3,632 exhibitors and 368 conferences. Open to everyone involved in the heritage field, combining culture and economics, the International Heritage Show is both a showcase for quality craftsmanship, and heritage venues and sites.
The Theme for 2010 was “The Mediterranean Heritage”
Cradle of civilisations, the Mediterranean is the vital link to trade between North and South, a zone for the circulation of objects, skills and ideas. A cultural resource of exceptional variety, the Mediterranean basin is also a reservoir of talent and know-how, rich with a heritage thousands of years old.
Europa Nostra was glad to participate in this event, especially since this theme invites a return to the origins of Europe. There is a lot to do in order to protect and emphasize the Mediterranean heritage, and if events such as the Heritage Show can awaken the consciousness of the civil society on this subject, Europa Nostra is proud to take part in it.
