Denis DE KERGORLAY, Executive President of Europa Nostra &
Marco PARINI, President of Italia Nostra Onlus
Cordially invite you to attend the
PUBLIC DEBATE
“For the Renaissance of Europe’s Cultural and Natural Heritage”
Venice, 15 March 2013, 15.00 – 19.00 hours
Palazzo Zorzi – Castello 4930
With the introductory speech by
Professor Philippe DAVERIO
Followed by a panel discussion
50 years ago Italia Nostra invited heritage NGOs from other European countries to create Europa Nostra with the aim to join forces in the effort to save Venice and other jewels of Europe’s heritage.
Today, Europa Nostra and Italia Nostra come together in Venice, with the kind support of UNESCO, to discuss with leading representatives of Italian private and public bodies concerned with cultural heritage ways in which we can give a new impetus to Europe-wide mobilisation for the safeguard of our cultural and natural heritage.
We shall seek to demonstrate that heritage is a key resource for Europe and its States, Regions and Cities. Therefore, at the moment when Europe is searching the best way out of the crisis, why not encourage National and European decision-makers to launch a “New Deal for Europe” based on a true renaissance of our unique cultural and natural heritage?
