Crowdfunding for the 7 Most Endangered Site of Ererouik/Anipemza in Armenia

The first Europa Nostra and European Investment Bank Institute expert mission in Armenia is scheduled for 19-24 July 2016 and to enhance its impact the nominating organisation (CSDCA) is promoting collateral activities. First of all, a photo contest that will culminate in an exhibition of the best images will be organised in Yerevan, and it will subsequently be displayed as a permanent exhibition in Anipemza. (the call is published in Italian and Armenian).

The exhibition will be organised in two themes: 1) monuments in the area (to identify what the population consider a monument); and 2) people and places of Anipemza village (to raise awareness on the difficult life of the local population).

On 20 July a group of international experts will meet in Anipemza and will be hosted by its inhabitants to share their own homes for one day and help them understand their situation and stimulate exchanges of ideas.

On 22 July an international conference/debate will be organised in Yerevan with the participation of international experts from different countries and with the support of the Armenian Ministry of Culture.

To support all these activities (partly cofinanced by the Armenian Ministry of Culture and the CSDCA), a campaign of crowdfunding has been launched on a new platform expressly dedicated to Cultural Heritage, which is run by a French company “the Dartagnans”: https://dartagnans.fr/fr/projects/ererouyk-anipemza-en-armenie/campaign

We encourage Europa Nostra members and supporters to contribute to this crowdfunding campaign. Any amount, however small, will be helpful to start the process of the gradual revitalisation of the archaeological site of Ererouyk and the village of Ani Pemza, and will be an important encouragement for the local community in their effort to save the valuable heritage of their region.
