Heritage organisations looking for funding opportunities can now benefit from a new free online information resource. The Information Centre comprises an Internet database linking sponsors and grant seekers by providing up-to-date, well-structured information about sponsor institutions and organizations in the sphere of arts and culture. The Internet database has a German and English user interface to provide structured information about patrons, foundations, sponsors, i.e. persons, institutions, and companies from both Germany and eventually other European countries, engaging in the sponsoring of arts and culture. Besides the contact data, the database also contains information about fields of sponsoring, projects and application modalities. The Deutsches InformationsZentrum Kulturförderung (DIZK) is a joint project of leading German institutions and representatives involved in private and public cultural sponsoring. The project is establishing a central contact point for providing information about sponsoring in the field of arts and culture in Europe. All these contributors were invited to the project with the intention of benefiting of their specific potential of information and experience. |
