Georgian laureates of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards will be celebrated and representatives of Georgian sites listed by the 7 Most Endangered programme will have their efforts acknowledged.

Award Ceremony for the Georgian laureates of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards.
The Awards will be presented by the Ambassador of the EU to Georgia, Mr. Carl Hart- zell and Secretary General of Europa Nostra, Mrs. Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović.

17:30-18:30 Honorary Reception hosted by Art Palace of Georgia in The Blue Hall of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre

19:00-21:30 The Sleeping Beauty
A ballet in three acts by P. Tchaikovsky
Hosted by Honorary President of Europa Nostra Georgia, Director of Ballet Company of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre Nina Ananiashvili and the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
Only with special entrance tickets.

The ceremony is linked to the international conference “David Gareji – Multidisciplinary Studies and Development strategy” which takes place from 18-20 April 2019. The conference is organized by Europa Nostra’s Country Representation in Georgia, the Georgian Arts and Culture Center in co-operation with the National Agency for Preservation of Cultural Heritage of Georgia and has been co-funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The David Gareji Monas- tery Complex was inscribed on the 7 Most Endangered list in 2018 by Europa Nostra and the Euro- pean Investment Bank Institute.
