The winners of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa
Nostra Awards 2002 were announced to the public at an event organised
in the Palais d'Egmont in Brussels on 9 May 2003, Europe Day. Wynford
Evans, Chairman of the Heritage Awards Jury, presented all the winning
projects. Representatives of these projects received their awards from Viviane Reding, member of the European
Commission responsible for Education and Culture and Otto von der Gablentz,
Executive President of Europa Nostra.
