Collection of Medieval Wood-Panel Paintings by Master Theodoric in the Chapel of the Holy Rood at Karlstejn Castle (Czech Republic)

Diploma "For the exemplary analysis and safeguarding of a vast and unique collection of Gothic paintings which had been subjected to huge climatic stress."

The ceremony for the Collection of Medieval Wood-Panel Paintings by Master Theodoric in the Chapel of the Holy Rood at Karlstejn Castle (Czech Republic) was organised by the National Institute for the Protection of Monuments – Central Bohemia Section. The event was enriched by a musical performance by the pupils of Karlstejn Primary School, a visit of the castle interiors and a buffet. Europa Nostra was represented by Dr Hasso Hohmann, Member of the Heritage Awards Jury.
