FUTURE EU CULTURE PROGRAMME CONSULTATION
sep 17
On 15 September 2010, following the adoption of the “Europe 2020” Strategy in June 2010, the European Commission launched an online consultation on a future EU Culture programme, which will replace the current one from 2014 onwards.
This consultation is open to individual citizens, public and private bodies, local/regional authorities, ministries and relevant stakeholders in the field of culture both inside and outside the EU and in the European institutions and associations until 15 December 2010.
The objective of the consultation is to gather input on the next round of the culture programme after 2013, especially its objectives, activities and types of support.
This consultation is just one part of the wider public consultation, responses to which will be taken into account in the Commission's proposal for a new Culture Programme (to be adopted by the European Parliament and Council), following an assessment of possible social, economic and environmental impacts.
Europa Nostra will of course play an active role in this consultation and encourages strongly all its members to take part in the consultation by sending their ideas and opinions to lvr [at] europanostra [dot] org or directly on-line on the European Commission website.
