COMPROMISE REACHED ON HOTEL LAMBERT IN PARIS

After discussions between the Paris historique association and delegates from the French Ministry of Culture and the Parisian Mayor’s office, a compromise was reached concerning the renovation of one of Paris’ most complete heritage buildings. Hotel Lambert, situated on l’Isle de St.Louis on the shores of the Seine, was bought and some of the proposed renovation interventions aroused fears for the integrity of the monument, and fierce opposition from the local and national heritage community.
