LOCAL AWARD CEREMONY BK CITY, DELFT

The festal ceremony that will take place on Saturday, 10 September 2011 at the Julianalaan 134 in Delft is combined with the Open Monumentendag when 4.000 monuments in the Netherlands will open their doors to the public. The theme of the Open Monumentendag is Re-Use, a theme our BK City building clearly illustrates.

13.30 - 14.00 Reception with coffee and tea at the South Glasshouse
14.00 - 14.10 Welcome by Karin Laglas, Dean faculty of Architecture
14.10 - 14.25 Unveil model of the Building at South Glasshouse in the presence of representatives of ASR
14.25 - 14.35 Unveil bronze wall plaque in the presence of Mrs. Milène Junius, City of Delft. Speeches by Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović, Secretay General of Europa Nostra, Maria Silvia Gatta, head of politics of the EC Representation in the NL, and by Arch. Benoît Delaey, EU Prize fo Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Awards jury member
14.35 - 15.00 drinks at the South Glasshouse
15.00 - 16.00 Lecture by Herman Kossmann on the design of BK City at South Glasshouse
