61st International Making Cities Livable Conference
The 61st International Making Cities Livable (IMCL) Conference will take place from 29 October to 1 November 2024, at the Conference and Event Centre in Cortona, Italy.
This year, the conference will focus on the theme “The Ecology of Place: Learning From Nature, Culture and History,” and will study how our cities, towns, suburbs, and their characteristics are set to play a central role – especially so in a time of historic rapid urbanisation, and can offer an important platform for joining up key environmental issues, as well as opportunities for equitable human development, health, and well-being.
The event will also offer opportunities for study trips to explore complex (and useful) patterns of urban growth, public space, and place management.
Registration to attend the conference is compulsory. Speaker registration is open until 15 September 2024.
Prices are: $595 for accepted speaker registrations, $295 for Student registrations, $595 for registrations before 31 July, $695 for registrations before 30 September, and $795 for registrations after 1 October.
