The winners of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2024 will be celebrated at a high-profile event co-hosted by Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Prof. Dr. Hermann Parzinger, Executive President of Europa Nostra. During the Ceremony, the Grand Prix laureates and the Public Choice Award winner, chosen from among this year’s winners and entitled to receive €10,000 each, will be announced.
The European Heritage Awards Ceremony will be held at the Romanian Athenaeum, the most prestigious concert hall in Bucharest, which recently received a European Heritage Label in recognition of its European significance. The Ceremony will be attended by Prof. Dr. Sergiu Nistor, Presidential Adviser, Raluca Turcan, Minister of Culture of Romania, and Dr. Nicușor Dan, Mayor of Bucharest.
The Ceremony, jointly organised by Europa Nostra and the European Commission, will include an accompanying musical programme, featuring live performances by the Romanian symphonic ensemble Violoncellissimo, led by Professor Marin Cazacu. It will be followed by a festive reception.
