Exhibition: “RECUPERATIO – Remarkable heritage achievements from across Europe”
An exhibition about the winners of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2022 will travel to three locations in Romania from April to September 2023.
The exhibition “RECUPERATIO – Remarkable heritage achievements from across Europe” will present a selection of commendable and varied initiatives which have responsibly, carefully and creatively recovered heritage from around Europe.
The first part of the exhibition presents the winning projects of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2022. These 31 initiatives from all over Europe are exemplary instances of how to recover cultural heritage. Their work has been awarded Europe’s top honour in the field, granted by the European Commission and Europa Nostra.
The second part of the exhibition presents exemplary projects from Romania. These 10 successful initiatives are encouraging and inspiring examples for the Romanian heritage field which faces many political and social challenges. They also convincingly demonstrate the enormous value and potential of heritage to the sustainable development of Romania, sending a strong message to local and national decision-makers about the need to preserve cultural heritage.
RECUPERATIO will travel to the following locations:
- 20 – 30 April 2023 – Timiș County Council Hall, Timișoara
- 5 – 25 May 2023 – The “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest
- 3 June – 3 September – Piscu School Museum and Workshop
RECUPERATIO is a project initiated and organised by the Piscu School, in collaboration with Europa Nostra, and co-funded by the Order of Architects of Romania, through the Architectural Fee.
