Online Conference on the Cleveland Pools

Europa Nostra UK is organising on 23 May 2024, from 18:30 to 19:30 (CEST), an online meeting to talk about the restoration of the Cleveland Pools, in Bath.

The Cleveland Pools, dating from the 19th century, are the oldest open air public swimming pools in the UK. This unique cultural heritage site underwent a large restoration thanks to a community-based campaign. This project started in 2004, leading to the reopening of the site to the public in September 2023, after 40 years of closure.

The project received a European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards in 2023, in the category Conservation and Adaptive Reuse.

Europa Nostra UK will be joined by Trustees of the Cleveland Pools Trust who will be sharing their experience of working on this restoration plan.

Registration for this online conference closes on 23 May.
