The Best in Heritage conference 2025 in Barcelona, Spain

After five digital editions, The Best in Heritage conference returns to the in-person format in 2025! Hosted in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Barcelona from 22 to 24 October, this eagerly awaited edition continues the conference’s tradition of showcasing award-winning museum, heritage, and conservation projects from around the world.

The Best in Heritage conference has been held under the patronage of Europa Nostra and ICOM since 2009. The 2025 edition is organised in partnership with La Caixa Foundation, the Government of Catalonia, and the City Council of Barcelona.

 

Join the conference in Barcelona for an inspiring three days of networking, collaboration, and insight-sharing as trends and tendencies in public memory institutions will be explored. The conference will feature 42 outstanding presentations of national and international award-winners from last year, including five winners of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2024, highlighting innovation, digital transformation, community engagement, and sustainability – setting new benchmarks in the cultural heritage sector.
