Europa Nostra advocates an alternative solution for Rosia Montana

In an interview published by Romania’s widely-read weekly newspaper Formula AS on 22 March, Europa Nostra’s Executive President Denis de Kergorlay calls for a culturally sensitive and environmentally friendly alternative to the large-scale gold mining project promoted by Gabriel Resources, a Canadian-based multinational company, and encourages the European Union to support a sustainable long-term development plan for Rosia Montana. Other key topics covered in this exclusive interview are ‘The 7 Most Endangered’ programme and the 50th Anniversary of Europa Nostra.
