Europa Nostra’s Secretary General contributes to the Soft Power Club Conference in Rome

On 29-30 January, Europa Nostra’s Secretary General Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović took part in the Soft Power Conference in Rome, organised by the Soft Power Club of which she is a member. This Club was founded by its Chairman, Francesco Rutelli, former Italian Minister of Culture and former Mayor of Rome.

On the second day, during the session “AI and Soft Power: Enhancing Information, Countering Disinformation”, held at the Aula dei Gruppi Parlamentari of the Chamber of Deputies, she contributed to a debate opened by the Italian Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli.

Bringing together national and international experts, activists and business leaders, the conference explored the role of artificial intelligence and its growing impact on soft power. In her remarks, Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović highlighted the importance of combining “ancestral intelligence” — rooted in shared values and cultural awareness — with artificial intelligence, in order to find the right balance for the common good, Europe and humankind.

The recordings of all speeches, including the speeches by Minister Giuli and Europa Nostra’s Secretary General, can be watched via the website of the Soft Power Club.
