10th European Summit of Cities and Regions

The 10th European Summit of Regions and Cities organised by the European Committee of the Regions will take place from 18 March at 14:00 (CET) to 19 March 2024, in Mons, in the Walloon Region of Belgium. The Walloon Region and the City of Mons are also involved in the organisation of the Summit.

The Summit will be held in the context of the 30th anniversary of the European Committee of the Regions and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Mayors, councillors, regional ministers and top European and global decision makers will gather to discuss topics at the heart of regions and cities’ concerns, as well as global challenges.

The event will start on March 18, at 14:00 (CET), with a plenary session on local and regional solutions for global challenges, followed by another concerning the just transition and cohesion at the heart of future EU investment policies. The topics of the plenary sessions on March 19 will be the vision of regions and cities for the future of Europe, along with democracy and values, accompanied by a ceremony for the Mayor Paweł Adamowicz Award. The Summit will end around 17:00 (CET).

Participants will be able to listen to speakers from all around the world, and will have the chance to attend a concert accompanied by an art piece inauguration, offered by the Walloon Region.
