This year’s edition of our Awards features an impressive range of winners across its five categories, including the remarkable restoration of an Art Nouveau landmark in Belgium combining traditional craftsmanship with technical innovation; a ground-breaking research programme in Norway documenting half of the world’s glacial archaeological findings; an innovative initiative supporting the sustainable upkeep of built heritage in Slovakia; a successful restoration outreach project in France that has reached millions through digital content, social media, exhibitions and educational kits; and a heritage champion who has dedicated her career to preserving the built heritage of Greenland, Denmark.
During the Ceremony, the Grand Prix laureates and the Public Choice Award winner will be announced, chosen from among this year’s winners and entitled to receive €10,000 each.
The Ceremony, jointly organised by Europa Nostra and the European Commission, is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. The Ceremony has also received the support of the National Lottery of Belgium.
The European Heritage Awards Ceremony will be live streamed.

The European Heritage Awards Ceremony is organised in the frame of the European Cultural Heritage Summit 2025, taking place from 12 to 15 October in Brussels, Belgium. For the full programme of the Summit, please visit www.europanostra.org/european-heritage-summit.
Organised by Europa Nostra and co-funded by the European Union, the Brussels Summit will gather high-level representatives from EU Institutions, policymakers, heritage professionals and volunteers, civil society actors and other stakeholders from across Europe and beyond.
Holding this year’s European Cultural Heritage Summit in Brussels has a particular significance at a time when the European Commission is about to publish the EU’s very first “Culture Compass for Europe” and when EU Institutions and Member States have started discussing the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework Programme. This is why the Summit will be held under the motto “Heritage Matters for Europe”!
