Heritage Debate 2020

Young People and Heritage: Creating Lifelong Supporters?

At a time when 16-24 year-olds are the least likely adult age group (up to the age of 75) to visit a heritage venue, now is the time to ensure that the heritage sector is reflecting on its practice and engaging young people as audiences and collaborators.

With generous sponsorship from Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, The Heritage Alliance will be bringing together four panellists from across the sector to discuss, debate and put forward new ideas on the topic.

In addition, we are delighted to have a keynote presentation from English Heritage’s Young Producers programme, who form part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Kick the Dust supported Shout Out Loud project, which seeks to give 11-25 year olds a voice in heritage.
