International Mother Language Day

Since 2000, every 21st February is observed by countries as International Mother Language Day. It is a day for every child – youth – adult to remember his/her own mother language as also linguistic heritage of all others around, everywhere.

The Embassy of Bangladesh to the Netherlands, together with Europa Nostra and the Netherlands Commission for Unesco, invite you to join them for a creative (virtual) celebration of multi-lingualism and multi-culturism on Sunday 21 February 2021 from 11.00 to 12.15 CET (16.00 to 17.15 pm (Bangladesh time).

The celebration of our linguistic diversity will be enriched with recitation by Poet Laureates from Europe and Bangladesh in Arabic, Bangla, Bulgarian, Dutch, English, French, Italian, German, Russian, Spanish, Swedish.

The event will be streamed on the Embassy’s Facebook page and shared by Europa Nostra.
