“I would like to thank Europa Nostra for their excellent work in 2018. Their commitment contributed prominently to the success of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, brought together cultural and political stakeholders and raised the voices of heritage in European civil society – e.g. at the inauguration plenary of the EESC Presidency or our event on the Future of Europe “Civil society for rEUnaissance”.
Having access to and understanding our cultural heritage in all its beauty and complexity is key to an open European identity and to the sustainable development of our social, economic and cultural European space. I therefore look forward to continuing our exchanges and driving a rEUnaissance together”.
