The Work Package 2 of our network project European Cultural Heritage Agora (2022-2024), entitled Networking of Organisations and Individuals throughout Europe and beyond, intends to facilitate the networking and exchanges of best practices in the heritage field. It also aims at enhancing synergies between existing projects/programmes and creating new cooperation opportunities with public and/or private partners.
The activities have actively involved – through physical or online participation – members of the Europa Nostra’s network (organisations and individuals) but also non-members (stakeholders, policy-makers and citizens, including harder-to-reach audiences) both within and beyond Europe.
European Cultural Heritage Summits
Organised by Europa Nostra, the European Cultural Heritage Summit is Europe’s top heritage “rendez-vous” gathering representatives from the large heritage community from across Europe and beyond. During the Summits, we have mobilised Europe’s heritage ecosystem to jointly act for a more peaceful, beautiful and sustainable future. In the face of so many pressing challenges, including the deplorable invasion of Ukraine by Russia, which Europa Nostra firmly condemns, we are ever more convinced of the urgent need to place Europe’s common values and shared cultural heritage at the very heart of our democracies and of what brings us together.

This activity shall support the further development of sub-networks dedicated to young heritage professionals and students, to women in the heritage field and to heritage stakeholders from the Western Balkans, Latin America as well as the Mediterranean (with possible outreach towards Africa), as a way to further enhance the inclusiveness and diversity of Europa Nostra’s network.
