The Work Package 2 of our network project European Cultural Heritage Agora (2022-2024), entitled Networking of Organisations and Individuals throughout Europe and Beyond, intends to facilitate the networking and exchanges of best practices in the heritage field. It also aims at enhancing synergies between existing projects/programmes and creating new cooperation opportunities with public, private or public-private partners.

The activities will actively involve – through physical or online participation – members of the Europa Nostra’s network (organisations and individuals) but also non-members (stakeholders, policy-makers and citizens, including harder-to-reach audiences) both within and beyond Europe.

European Cultural Heritage Summits

Organised by Europa Nostra, this is Europe’s top heritage “rendez-vous” gathering representatives from the large heritage community from across Europe and beyond. Our ambition is to make our European Heritage Summits more accessible to diversified audiences as well as greener and more sustainable.

A memorable Summit was held from 25 to 27 September 2022 in the World Heritage City of Prague, Czech Republic. Our Summit brought together hundreds of heritage stakeholders, policy-makers at all levels of governance, civil society organisations as well as heritage heroes and enthusiasts, including young people and emerging professionals, from all across Europe and beyond.

We have mobilised Europe’s heritage ecosystem to jointly act for a more peaceful, beautiful and sustainable future. In the face of so many pressing challenges, including the deplorable invasion of Ukraine by Russia which Europa Nostra firmly condemns, we are indeed ever more convinced of the urgent need to place Europe’s common values and shared cultural heritage at the very heart of our democracies and of what brings us together. The Prague Manifesto “For a Value-based and Culture-driven Europe” contains the key policy messages formulated during our Summit in Prague.
