The Excellence Day will offer the winners of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2023 an opportunity to present their projects to their peers and the wider public. The Excellence Day will be divided into five sessions dedicated to the five categories of the Awards: 1) Conservation & Adaptive Reuse; 2) Research; 3) Education, Training & Skills; 4) Citizens’ Engagement & Awareness-raising; and 5) Heritage Champions.

The winners will share their experiences about the success and impact of their projects as well as the challenges that they had to overcome. As such, the Excellence Day will be an outstanding opportunity to showcase the very best heritage practices that contribute to building a more beautiful, sustainable and inclusive Europe.

This event is organised jointly with the European Commission with the participation of Catherine Magnant, Head of Unit “Cultural Policy” at DG EAC, and in partnership with the Giorgio Cini Foundation and takes place at its headquarters located in the iconic setting of San Giorgio Maggiore Island.
