Join Europa Nostra for an Intergenerational Dialogue to celebrate #Women4Heritage

Following the very first #Women4Heritage virtual event hosted by Europa Nostra on the occasion of the International Women’s Day last year, we are pleased to reconvene our varied and dynamic #Women4Heritage network on 8 March from 17:00 to 18:30 CET for the 2022 edition of this special celebration.

The International Women’s Day focuses on empowering women, celebrating their achievements and advocating for a world in which both genders stand equal. This year, which coincides with the European Year of Youth, Europa Nostra wishes to gather and pay tribute to women who, across generations, are driving positive change in the heritage world.

All over the world, women of all ages are leading the heritage ecosystem towards a more sustainable, inclusive and peaceful future, sharing their knowledge and expertise as well as their tireless dedication to responding effectively to today’s societal challenges. Intergenerational dialogue among established and emerging female professionals and volunteers is vital to ensure and sustain this process. By putting forward creative ideas, new solutions and fresh perspectives, young female leaders are driving innovation and positive change in the way we safeguard, interpret and cherish cultural heritage. By sharing their vast knowledge and unique expertise with the younger generations, experienced female heritage leaders are inspiring and upskilling the next generation of heritage change-makers.

On 8 March 2022, Europa Nostra calls for female heritage practitioners, innovators, leaders and enthusiasts of all ages to join the #Women4Heritage network without borders for an inspiring intergenerational exchange on how we can together boost the innovative capacity and long-term sustainability of the heritage world. The celebration will feature inspirational speeches by young and experienced heritage leaders, and will offer participants a space to exchange their experiences and opinions in an intimate and invigorating atmosphere. It is only by working hand by hand, across generations, that we will co-create and jointly build a brighter future for our cultural heritage!

The event will take place virtually, via Zoom. We invite you to register through the button below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information on how to join the meeting. Due to limited capacity, we would kindly ask you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot. Please, feel free to extend this invitation to your female colleagues from all ages, who are committed to the protection, promotion and enhancement of our shared cultural heritage.

We hope to see many of you virtually on 8 March to celebrate together the incredible power of our #Women4Heritage movement. In the meantime, we invite you to join our dedicated LinkedIn group and already meet and exchange with the extraordinary women of our network!
