(Re-)Appointments to the Council of Europa Nostra made in Nicosia
The Europa Nostra General Assembly 2026 took place on the morning of 28 May at the Municipality Town Hall of Nicosia, Cyprus, in the framework of the European Cultural Heritage Summit 2026. On this occasion, important appointments and reappointments to the Council of Europa Nostra were made.
The General Assembly (re-)appointed 10 members to the Council of Europa Nostra for a three-year mandate, following nominations by Member Organisations and Country Representations (in alphabetical order of the nominating organisations):
- Markus Reymann, Associazione dei Comitati Privati Internazionali per la Salvaguardia di Venezia (Italy/International)
- Django Maekelberg, The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (United Kingdom)
- Delphine Dupeux, European Landowners’ Organisation (International)
- Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture E.V. (International)
- Erik Ringnes, Foreningen Fredet (Norway)
- Stsiapan Stureika, Icomos-Belarus (Belarus / Lithuania)
- Amra Hadžimuhamedović, International Forum Bosnia; HIDR – Centre for Peace and Heritage (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- Catherine Leonard, The National Trust (United Kingdom)
- Roxana Wring, Pro Patrimonio Foundation (Romania)
- Nataša Jerina, Slovenian Association for Historic Vehicles (Slovenia)
The General Assembly thanked the outgoing Council members: Karel Loeff (The Netherlands), Gabriel Ruiz Cabrero (Spain), Katariina Ruuska-Jauhijärvi (Finland) and Jacques de Saussure (Switzerland).
