VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE HISTORIC SITE IN ITALY

“I Luoghi del Cuore” (“Places I Love”) is a national campaign which has been organised ever since 2004 by one of Europa Nostra's leading member organisations in Italy - FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano). This year for the first time, the 6th edition of this campaign has been extended across the Italian borders to all those who love Italy and its heritage across the world. Europa Nostra has gladly accepted to become one of the international partners of this creative initiative.
From 23 May to 31 October 2012, citizens from all over the Globe and of all nationalities are invited to vote for the “Place of their Heart in Italy” to which they feel particularly attached to, and which they would like to see protected and safeguarded for future generations.
Through this campaign, FAI seeks to reach out not only to citizens but also to local and national institutions in Italy, in order to encourage them to recognise the citizens’ enthusiasm and care for the beauties and treasures of Italy by providing the necessary (financial) support to protect them. One or more heritage sites which receive the largest number of votes will hopefully receive special support for their safeguard.
